2. Spiaggia di Baratti

Spiaggia di Baratti is a beautiful beach in the Gulf of Baratti, near the town of Piombino. It's a rather quiet beach in a well-sheltered bay. A little more lively, the beach is divided into a public (free) part and a private part. In the latter, you can go paddle-boarding or pedal-boating with a small slide. You may be unpleasantly surprised to discover that the toilets are not free. The view is pleasant, however.

3. Spiaggia di Marina di Alberese

Spiaggia di Marina di Alberese is a long sandy beach located in the Maremma Natural Park in Tuscany. Surrounded by a nature reserve, the beach is renowned for its length (several kilometers of fine sand). The green water is superb, but not too crowded! The beach is easily accessible by car or bike. It's known for its fine sand and crystal-clear waters, as well as for its wild environment with sea-bleached trees and branches. The beach is not equipped, so shade and other amenities are recommended. It's best to keep walking south to avoid the crowds and appreciate the natural beauty of this area. This beach is ideal for lovers of unspoilt nature.

4. Spiaggia delle Cannelle

Spiaggia delle Cannelle is a beautiful beach located on the island of Giglio, on the east coast, overlooking the Argentario promontory. One of the largest beaches on the island, it is approximately 100 meters long with shallow waters, ideal for families with children. 5. Spiaggia di Cala del Gesso

Cala del Gesso is considered one of the most beautiful beaches in Tuscany, situated on the Argentario promontory. It is popular for diving and snorkeling, with a cove of smooth rocks and a rich seabed. It's possible to get there by boat or car, but it's important to note that access by road requires a 700-meter walk along a surfaced path and a rather steep staircase (beware of falls!). We recommend that you wear comfortable walking shoes and bring provisions, as the beach is not equipped with a restaurant.

6. Spiaggia di Cala Felice

Discover Cala Felice, an exclusive cove in the Maremma of Grosseto, located in the municipality of Scarlino and one of the three coves in the Cale Park, along with Cala Violina and Cala Martina. This natural spot is ideal for snorkeling enthusiasts, thanks to its crystal-clear waters and abundant marine fauna in the Gulf of Follonica. For those with a sweet tooth, there's a bar and restaurant offering the essentials for snacks. Feel free to explore the rocky seabed and observe fish such as sea bass, sole, blennies, mullet, sea bream, sea bass, sea bream, crustaceans, molluscs and many other marine life for a unique swimming experience!

Note however that the beach is almost private for the restaurant which borders it (watch the video)... which could delight some to drink a good white Chianti while looking at the sea!

7. Spiaggia di Cala del Turco

Cala del Turco is one of the beaches in the municipality of Guardia Grande. Surrounded by mountains, this natural beach offers breathtaking views of small bays, crystal-clear turquoise water and rocks. Special footwear is recommended to explore this rocky beach, which is suitable for solo travelers and those seeking a relaxing break. Cala del Turco is easy to get to, with the road less than 500 meters away and parking less than 300 meters away... but from there, access is more difficult. There's no infrastructure on this wild beach, so it's ideal for those looking for a secluded beach experience even during high season... you don't risk having to share the sand to get your towel in! Not bad for diving, as it's not very busy.

8. Spiaggia di Cala dei Frati

Cala dei Frati is a small beach 100 meters long, 2 to 10 meters wide, located between the beaches of Ghiaie and Padulella. It faces north-east, well protected from the sirocco winds, but receives little sunshine due to morning and afternoon shade. It is composed of polished white pebbles and coarse-grained white sand, with a seabed characterized by brown rocks, giving the water a surprising transparency. At times, the cove is reminiscent of Caribbean beaches. The view is magnificent, stretching from the fortresses of Portoferraio to the eastern part of the island, dominated by Monte Grosso. There are no facilities on the beach (restaurant, WC, etc.). Access to the beach is difficult, and only possible by sea.
